Dog Rescue Newcastle operates within a network of other rescue groups and related organisations. We all work together to rehome companion pets who have unfairly ended up in the pound. Please scroll down to see our Thanks links.

Lucyann's Small Dogs	Lucyann is a Dog Rescue Newcastle foster carer and rescuer located in Dora Creek in Southern Lake Macquarie. She specialises in small dogs. Please view Lucyann's pets available for adoption then ring her on 02-49733-468 if you see a one you like.
PAWS	Paws is a group of volunteers who save dogs, and occasionally cats, from Death Row in council pounds. The pets are placed with Volunteer Foster Carers while waiting for their permanent homes. Rhonda co-ordinates dogs in the Hunter Valley and Denise looks after dogs in Sydney.
PetRescue	Australia's largest national database of rescued pets available for adoption all over the country. It brings together pets available from hundreds of rescue organisation into a single source which you can search.
Pound Paws Rescue	Pound Paws Rescue is a non profit organisation in Sydney rehomeing mostly dogs that find there way to local pounds and animal shelters.
Rabbit Sanctuary	Where time never runs out for rabbits... Beautiful bunnies awaiting good homes.
Save Our Strays	Sydney based rescue organisation with many dogs rescued from pounds available for adoption.
Senior Dogs Rescue	Lots of beautiful dogs, 6 years and older, eagerly waiting to be adopted. Their foster carers are in Sydney area but their website includes senior dogs from all over NSW and Australia.
Silky Rescue	An Australia wide site especially for Silky Terriers, their crosses, and their cousins the Yorkie and Aussie Terriers — all available for adoption.

Oscar's Law	Join the campaign to abolish puppy mills and ban sale of farmed puppies in pet shops and online. There are several puppy mills right here in Lake Macquarie, and the Hunter. Never buy from backyard breeders (newspaper ads) or pet shops. Whenever a profit is made from the sale of pets, more and more will be bred. When so many pets are killed in pounds, we don't need deliberate breeding.
Where Do Puppies Come From	Read about the hidden misery behind pets in pet shops. Puppy and kitten mills are a reality in Australia and right here in the Hunter region. Don't buy anything from pet shops which sell puppies and kittens.

Jesskah's Rope Tack	Jesskah's Rope Tack has a new line of dog collars available. They are hand tied and made from quality polyester rope and stainless steel buckles. They also sell leads and dog toys. For every dog collar that is sold, Jesskah will donate $2 to Dog Rescue Newcastle.
Macquarie Road Vetz	Thank you to vets Cathy and Tracy and to the rest of the dedicated team at Macquarie Road Veterinary Hospital. They desex, vaccinate and look after the health of our rescued dogs and cats. We couldn't do what we do without them.
PETQuarters, Glendale	Thank you to PETQuarters pet shop in Glendale Supercentre, NSW for being a responsible, ethical shop and not selling puppies and kittens. Instead, they have some of our kittens available for adoption in their store, giving them valuable exposure. But the kittens are adopted through us, not sold.

West Wallsend High School	Extra big "Thank You" to all the students of West Wallsend High School. They had an out of uniform day and raised $341.50 for our dogs. Special big tail wags to Hayley, who though of it herself and approached the principal and asked if they could have the day to help the dogs. The money raised has gone towards paying the vet bill of our dog Rhys who was very ill. Rhys recovered fully and has been adopted. Thank you to all the great kids of West Wallsend High who helped us to save Rhys' life!
