Lucyann is a Dog Rescue Newcastle foster carer and rescuer located in Dora Creek in Southern Lake Macquarie. She specialises in small dogs. Please view Lucyann's pets available for adoption then ring her on 02-49733-468 if you see a one you like. |
| PAWS |
Paws is a group of volunteers who save dogs, and occasionally cats, from Death Row in council pounds. The pets are placed with Volunteer Foster Carers while waiting for their permanent homes. Rhonda co-ordinates dogs in the Hunter Valley and Denise looks after dogs in Sydney. |

Join the campaign to abolish puppy mills and ban sale of farmed puppies in pet shops and online. There are several puppy mills right here in Lake Macquarie, and the Hunter. Never buy from backyard breeders (newspaper ads) or pet shops. Whenever a profit is made from the sale of pets, more and more will be bred. When so many pets are killed in pounds, we don't need deliberate breeding. |

Thank you to PETQuarters pet shop in Glendale Supercentre, NSW for being a responsible, ethical shop and not selling puppies and kittens. Instead, they have some of our kittens available for adoption in their store, giving them valuable exposure. But the kittens are adopted through us, not sold. |

Extra big "Thank You" to all the students of West Wallsend High School. They had an out of uniform day and raised $341.50 for our dogs. Special big tail wags to Hayley, who though of it herself and approached the principal and asked if they could have the day to help the dogs. The money raised has gone towards paying the vet bill of our dog Rhys who was very ill. Rhys recovered fully and has been adopted. Thank you to all the great kids of West Wallsend High who helped us to save Rhys' life! |
