Rain, Rescue and Super Models: A Calendar Shoot to Remember.
Come behind the scenes for a sneak peek of the Dog Rescue Newcastle 2026 Calender. On an wet and windy rainy August Sunday, the skies may have opened up but nothing could dampen the spirit of our incrediable dog rescue 2026 calendar photo shoot. Thank you to our sixteen amazing carers brought along the true stars to the day - our beloved resuce dogs. The atompshere was tail wagging with each dog posing like a seasoned model, some needed a little coaxing however plenty of treats where on hand to provide the confidence needed to get "the shot".
Capturing all this pawfect magic was our favourite and amazing photographer, Jo Lyons, who generously donated her time and talent for the 2026 rescue calendar project. Her lens didn’t just snap pictures—it told stories. Her dedication and eye for detail turned a rainy day into a radiant celebration of rescue. 
What’s next? The team are busy working on the production of the 2026 calendar. Carefully reviewing each image to find the perfect mix of personality, charm and heart. All our dogs have a unique story, and we want to reflect that.
